Cleiton Silva broke the deadlock in the 66th minute only to see Deshorn Brown restore parity for the Highlanders against his former team. But six minutes later substitute Laldanmawia Ralte also bagged a late winner to win all three points for Khalid Jamil’s men. The Indian coach highlighted how Deshorn Brown was the difference maker in this game and allowed the Highlanders to get this elusive win after two long months.

Speaking about the Jamaican striker, Jamil stated, “Brown can score at any time and he is the best player we have and one of the best player in the ISL. Unfortunately, he got injured this year. He is a quality player and we don’t have to tell him anything. He works very hard, he has good speed and when he plays all the players get motivated.”

Jamil felt that the players played with no pressure and that became a huge factor in the game. He knew that people were talking about the Highlanders how they struggled to win matches but eventually, his men turned it around.

Everyone was thinking about how we haven’t won in a long time. Today we got it after a long time so that’s a good thing. Everybody played today without any pressure and that’s why they enjoyed the game and we got the three points which is the most important thing,” Jamil revealed.
