Ever since the start of 2022, Jordan Brand put a pause on their Saturday releases, slowing things down quite a bit to recuperate following the holidays. Come this weekend, though, things will finally return back to normal thanks to the Air Jordan 5 “Racer Blue.”
Unlike some of this season’s upcomers, the Air Jordan 5 “Racer Blue” is a celebration of the silhouette’s lineage, as the colorway itself is reminiscent of older offerings. If not for its additions, the pair would bear a much closer resemblance to the “Metallic,” since the two share black nubuck uppers, icy bottoms, and opaque nettings. The main differences lie atop the midsole and silver reflective tongue, as both feature the titular cool tone across their side walls and lace toggle/Jumpman branding, respectively.
