When you turn most street corners in Manchester, you’ll stumble across a pair of 3-Stripes. Embedded in the city’s subcultural code, adidas has inspired everything from the terraces to the world-renowned music scene.
Paying homage to Moss Side, South Manchester – Maine Road’s old stomping ground – the label’s latest silhouette is a terrace masterpiece that updated the OG TRX 600 model. Originally released in the ’70s – sold in Yugoslavia and sold in Japan – this rare silhouette has been on the mind of adi enthusiasts for some years. Modernised and freshened up, the shoe has never been more accessible and ready to stomp around the streets.
Boasting a sustainably conscious upper, the Moss Side comes with a minimum of 50% recycled content, featuring recycled polyester on the mesh, lining and suede. Green-hued mesh fills the majority of the upper, combining with furry suede panels and soft leather on the serrated 3-Stripes and heel labelling. Trefoils adorn the tongue and reverse, plus there is a Moss Side label to commemorate the Manchester suburb. Creamy soles feature further down and tonal adi labelling completes this terrace gem.
